He didn't want the embarasment associated with the noise and had to think of a way to cover it up. Well, he noticed that there was some loud music playing so he timed his escaping gas with the beat of the music. As he was getting off the bus he noticed that everyone on board was staring admonishly at him and wondered why, he then realized that he had been listening to the music on his IPOD !
